We had FHE on Independence Day and freedom tonight. Travis showed the kids a flag and taught them about what the stars and stripes represent. Then we sang Star Spangeled Banner really off key, even the kids were making faces. Our dessert was Patriotic Parfait (i.e. red and blue jello with whipped cream). Afterwards, there was a major dance-off, with brake dancing and some tango-esque moves by Cole. Once it was dark, we put on our fireworks t-shirts and went out to the cul-de-sac for a serious fireworks display (kudos of Sam's club). Yay!!!
