Joy to the World!!

Christmas was awesome at our house. On Christmas Eve we had our candlelight supper (a tradition stolen from Travis' family). The kids had the most fun dipping their fingers in the wax. Then we were going to act out the nativity story, but everyone was too tired from flu rebound, so we read the story from Luke instead. We had the fire going and all the lights turned off, it was very nice. We headed up stairs for bed and while I read the kids a story about Jesus' birth we heard the reindeer land on the roof. Thump, thump and then jingle jingle jingle. The kids hurried to bed and the next morning we saw Santa had come. His cookies and milk were gone, and Rudolf ate all his "magic oats".

Christmas morning was cold and blustery outside. Just the perfect weather to light another fire and open presents. I feel so grateful for all my blessings. Christmas is the perfect mixture of traditions and kids and magic and time to remember why we are here.
