So, we had General Conference today. I must admit I was only able to hear bits and pieces (thank goodness for the written version). I finally found the remote for the downstairs TV (of course stuck in the couch). So, I had the great idea to have the kids color quietly while we listened to Conference. Cole made a picture of Christ with angels that he wants to send to the Friend. Paige did a puzzle......and Lily, well, she made lots of noise. So, alot of the messages blended into a blur, at least we had the Spirit in our house. I could have sent them upstairs, but I think it's important for then to know Conference Sunday is a special day. Travis is in Louisiana for his annual "Guys Trip", so we missed him! :( Usually, we make a day of it and eat yummy food, but it's not the same without him here. Upon reflection, my favorite part of the day was when Paige watched the opening song, "A Child's Prayer". "I know this song!" she said. Very sweet. That alone was worth not being able to hear the rest.

I thought it was great how many primary songs the choir did. I think that helps the kids listen. Sorry to hear Travis was gone. I don't like when we aren't together as a family for Conference Sunday. It just doesn't feel the same.
