Great to be Eight!

What a beautiful day for a baptism. The sun is shining and everything is green. A rainbow would make it perfect :) We went to the church this morning, and it was such a neat experience. It was just our family and Bro. Sheridan. Which made it much more intimate. Norm and LaRee flew out to visit and help us. Cole's been looking forward to today for a long time. We were very proud of him! LaRee helped with the music. I'm glad she can play the piano so well, because one of those songs was not very familiar, and she just played it from sight. Travis spoke on baptism and then did the baptism. But, opps a foot stuck out. Grandpa was joking with Cole that his baptism was exxtra special because he got to be dunked twice. I gave a talk on the gift of the Holy Ghost. Then, Norm confirmed Cole. I loved what was said during the blessing. I need to write it down tonight before I forget. Oh, and Paige and Lily gave the prayers. This is one of those days that Cole will always remember. Very special. Here's one of the songs we sang, one of Cole's favorites:

I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain
and ponder on the beauty of an earth made clean again.

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can and live with God again.

I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away,
and I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can and live with God again.

Congratulations Cole! That is so awesome. Nichole, I can't believe he's already eight! It seems like just yesterday he was a little guy and then I remember that Dallin is only a year away from his 8th birthday!!!!! Crazy!

Glad to hear that everything with the baptism was perfect. He's such a bright, beautiful boy! I love that the little girls gave prayers - very sweet.
