March/April happenings...

So, I'm trying to remember the highlights since my last post. First, Cole turned 8! Yay! I can't believe he's old enough to be baptized. We actually have his party in 3 weeks, which is kind of funny. But, since his birthday is at the end of the March, and April has been slammed with activities, we're having his birthday the second weekend in May. Paige was a little miffed about that, since her birthday is in May. But, I told her at least you don't have the exact birthday as your brother. Huh, Graham?

I'm rambling, anyways, Cole's baptism is next weekend and Norm & LaRee will be coming out to visit. We've been working like crazy to get the house (and mainly yard) presentable. Travis mulched all the flower beds and they look beautiful. As far as inside goes, just don't open any of my cabinets, and I think we're set. It's always good to have guests, puts a deadline on my spring cleaning.

Travis is busy with pest control. This is when he goes under until August. Hopefully this crazy job will end soon. When he was doing yardwork, he said "you know your job sucks, when spreading mulch is like being on vacation" True dat. I'd like to say he's been busy doing other things, but right now work is all consuming. Maybe another vacation? Good news, the wildlife company in VA is doing well. Maybe that's a better path with no door to door sales.

I've just been busy with school things and primary. Always something to do or somewhere to be. Somedays, I'm just happy if I can remember my name. You know it's bad when your 5 year old is chastising you. "Mommy, you forgot my lunch money!!!" Oh man! Sorry! Also, I've decided they need to invent a floor that absorbs crumbs. You know, like a self-cleaning oven. Like at night, you close the door and in the morning, voila! Beautiful floors. Graham you get workin on that.

Kids have been busy with school and activities. Cole's been writing about Nut, the world-traveling peanut, who's currently in Japan with his sidekick Wasabi. Paige is starting riding lessons next week. Lily has been practicing her name, and likes to draw 6-legged dogs. And Grace is busy bossing everyone around. They've been loving the good weather. Lot's of caterpillar finding, muddy knees, allergies, and all around springtime fun. Such cuties, if I do say so myself.
