Let's get our shovels on!
So, we (actually I) tried to plants some vegetables last year. I'm the only one to blame for the failed attempt. The tomato plants got pretty big, but then we went out of town, or I forgot to water them, or something and they died. So, now this year, I'm determined to tend to my garden long enough that I can actually eat something out of it. The biggest obstacle here is the soil. I think you could literally pick up a handful and throw a pot. It's awful. Anyhow, long story short, we realized we needed a raised bed, so the plants could have some good soil, instead of the clay.
Travis happened to time this project strategically on the weekend his parents were visiting. After finding a picture on the internet, Norm was able to figure out how to put the thing together. And after a couple days of work and a cut finger, it was done.
Blood, sweat and tears, no? Thank you so much you guys! You outdid yourselves, it looks like a professional put it together.
I planted early girl tomatoes, romas, peppers, green beans, cucumbers, a few herbs, and a watermelon (or a pumpkin, I can't remember:). Can you say homemade salsa? Hello...that's enough to make me a dedicated vegetable-waterer. Where's the chips?
