Early Summer Ambitions

Early summer 08

So, school was out.  Which meant no specific bedtimes, and long days at the pool.  The first few weeks of summer are also full of fun crafty activities.  Until Mom runs out of ideas.  And that's when the trips began.

But, first, Cole did a couple of businesses.  Lemonade stand, check.  Then, a more creative, herb selling business.  Door to door.  I think our sweet neighbor Joan bought the majority of Cole's goods.  I told him to go push them on someone else.  But, she kept asking for more sachets.  So, we made more.

The lemonade stand was great.  Especially the umbrellas.  At that point it was morning and about 80 degrees.  Umbrellas weren't really necessary, but made great props.

Paige also made a bracelet for Lauren, our neighbor, because she had her tonsils taken out. It was very pretty, made with lavender crystals, which were Lauren's favorite, according to Paige.

This same couple of weeks, I did some closet cleaning, and the neighbor kids came over one day to help wear/eat our old birthday party favors.  Mmmm, stale candy.
