Christmas Kitty is Found!

So, after several days of no-show, we finally heard some strange noises coming out of the kitchen floor. Is it kitty?? Sure enough, Lucy had found the only vent missing a cover and made her way into the heating/cooling ducts. We were able to locate her under the sink and with a mirror could see her tail. Ah! Kitty is close enough to grab....if only the kitchen cabinets weren't in the way.
With the help of a saw, Trav made a hole in the bottom of the cabinets, allowing me better access to the duct. Unfortunately, saws are loud, and kitty didn't like that. I looked into my mirror again, and she'd moved about 10 feet down the tube. We tried pushing her out with a vacuum hose and finally decided to call it a night, convinced she could find her way out. Long story short....a couple days past. No kitty, 6 worried humans. "She's not dying in there." I could picture the dead cat smell carried by the ventilation, wafting through the house. Not quite cinnamon stick. Then the christmas kitty miracle happened. She came out. Paige cracked a can of stinky cat food and sat by the vent calling for her. I guess she was hungry and no more stuck Lucy.
