While changing a diaper a few weeks ago, I realized I had amazing speed and skill at destinking a baby. So quick in fact, it reminded me of the rodeo. You know, like when they rope the calves? I was in and out in under 30 seconds. I almost threw both my hands up when I was done.
So, after seeing this first similarity, I wondered how many others I could spot. Here's a little list I came up with:
- Barrel Racing? Cleaning the house: how quickly can I round up all the toys/clothes/garbage from the floor while circling furniture.
- Broncs? Riding my kids to get their chores/homework/eating done. Almost as painful.
- Rodeo Clown? I'm a shameless expert at this event. Weird voices, embarassing dancing, bad singing, etc. anything for a laugh and a diversion
- Stunt rider? being a Mom, must be flexible, agile and fearless

Wow, thanks for that! I've never been to a rodeo I had to pay for, didn't realize I participated in one everyday!
Boy, you really made me laugh! It is so true. You are so clever!
I love the comparison Nichole! We've been to plenty of rodeos here and I think I'll enjoy them much more now that I have something to think about other than the unhappy animals.
That was so creative! I am super impressed. Seriously made me laugh:) Are you sure you don't want to do the 1/2 marathon in Nashville at the end of April? Where are planning on doing the one in the fall?
I love the things you come up with. What a great comparison.
